Retirement Tips and Tricks

Hi, I’m Cappy Rick. I retired on a Friday, but I decided to actually start my retirement on the following Monday so I could relax all weekend and not do anything.

When someone retires, people somehow get the idea that major life changes take place. While this may be true for how we retirees fill our days, it doesn’t necessarily mean that our bodies will change overnight into clogged up, twisted up, freezing cold, incontinent bags of water and meat that are useless — or even detrimental — to society.

No! We’re not all curmudgeons! As this site demonstrates, we retirees stay busy doing things like taking naps and making lists! Yay!

This portion of the site documents the implementation of the Five-Year Plan that Cappy Rick and Mia came up with eight years earlier. (Yeah, it took longer than we thought.) The Plan worked! We sold everything, bought our liveaboard boat, and became full-time cruisers.
