In a long-past life I installed and repaired electronic systems for hospitals and other commercial and industrial buildings. One day I got a notice that a TV was not working in one of the patient rooms at the local hospital.
When I arrived at the nurse station I greeted the Charge Nurse: “Hi, I was working in another part of the hospital when someone told me the TV isn’t working in room 74. Can I go in and take a look at it?”
“You can, but the guy in that room just died,” she said. “The family is still in there with him.”
“No problem. I’ll fix the TV and put on some cartoons. That’ll cheer ’em up.”
